This Privacy Policy applies to the Autism Skills website and the content, downloads, and links made available through it.
1. Information we may collect
When you request the free handbook sample, we collect the first name and email address you submit, your marketing-consent choice, the page you submitted from, and any campaign parameters or referring page attached to your visit. Do not enter information about a child in this form.
We may also collect information you provide directly through email, social media messages, support inquiries, or purchase-related communications. Technical information may be collected automatically, including device and browser type, approximate location, IP address, referral source, pages viewed, and general usage data.
Purchases and memberships are processed by third-party services such as Gumroad and Patreon. Those providers handle payment details under their own policies. We may receive limited information needed to confirm a purchase, deliver a product, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, or understand aggregate sales performance.
2. Analytics and similar technologies
This site uses PostHog for product analytics. The current configuration uses PostHog's European hosting endpoint and does not create person profiles for anonymous visitors. Analytics tools may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies to record page visits, device characteristics, session information, and general engagement patterns. You can control cookies and stored site data through your browser settings.
3. How information may be used
Information may be used to provide the requested sample, send occasional Autism Skills educational or marketing emails when you have consented, operate and secure the site, understand traffic patterns, improve educational content, respond to inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, fulfill purchases, prevent fraud, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
4. Third-party services and external links
The sample-request form is processed on Cloudflare Pages and stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. The site also links to third-party checkout, community, analytics, hosting, and social platforms, including Gumroad, Patreon, and PostHog. Those services operate under their own privacy notices. Autism Skills is not responsible for privacy or security practices on sites it does not control.
5. Editorial identity notice
Avery Rowan is a pen name and editorial publishing identity, not a separately existing public person. The name and illustrative portraits are used for branding, authorship attribution, and product presentation.
6. Sharing and retention
Information may be shared with service providers that help host the site, analyze traffic, process payments, prevent fraud, or deliver purchased materials. It may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to legal process, investigate abuse, or protect users and site operations.
Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including customer support, recordkeeping, legal compliance, fraud prevention, and business continuity. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the instructions in those messages. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing depends on consent.
